Pickleball in Lincoln, Nebraska

Lincoln supports pickleball at every level: free dedicated courts in city parks, large indoor complexes, YMCA gym play, lessons, leagues, and an active local association. Peterson Park is the strongest outdoor hub, while Pickl'N and Let's Pickle provide dedicated indoor courts seven days a week.

Where to Play Pickleball in Lincoln

Peterson Park

4400 Southwood Drive, Lincoln, NE 68512. Peterson has 10 dedicated outdoor courts with permanent nets, lights, an open shelter, parking, and a playground. It is Lincoln's largest city pickleball site and hosts public open play, round robins, lessons, and tournaments.

Ballard Park and Eden Park

Ballard Park, 3901 North 66th Street, Lincoln, NE 68507, and Eden Park, 46 Antelope Creek Road, Lincoln, NE 68506, each have six dedicated public outdoor courts. Both are free and support scheduled Pickleball Lincoln programming as well as general public play.

Pickl'N Pickleball Club

2600 Kimco Drive, Lincoln, NE 68521. Pickl'N has nine dedicated indoor courts, open play, reservations, leagues, tournaments, lessons, and community events. It is open daily from 6 a.m. to midnight, giving Lincoln its broadest indoor playing window.

Let's Pickle

5601 South 59th Street, Suite B2, Lincoln, NE 68516. Let's Pickle combines six dedicated indoor courts with a restaurant and sports bar. Players can reserve courts for a private group or join scheduled play, then eat on site.

Lincoln YMCAs

All Lincoln YMCA branches schedule gym pickleball. Members play free; day passes cost $17 for adults ages 19-59, $12 for seniors 60 and older, and $10 for youth. Branches provide paddles for players who do not own one.

Pickleball Lessons in Lincoln

Pickleball Lincoln runs fundamentals classes, 90-minute clinics, and level-specific live-ball sessions at Densmore Park, Peterson Park, Kinetic Sports Complex, and Pine Lake. Pickl'N adds year-round instruction on dedicated indoor courts, while YMCA branches offer beginner programs in a recreation-center setting. Independent instructors are listed in the Coaches section.

Leagues and Upcoming Events

Pickleball Lincoln organizes public open play, round robins, leagues, and tournaments across the city. The Spartan Series II MLP runs September 13, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Peterson Park with four-player teams of two women and two men. The LSF Open House follows September 18 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 7600 North 70th Street, with free play, food, and drinks.

Visitor Tips

Start at Peterson Park for the deepest outdoor player pool and the most court capacity. Ballard and Eden are useful when south Lincoln courts are busy. For weather-proof play, Pickl'N offers the widest hours, while Let's Pickle works especially well for a group outing with food. YMCA day passes are the easiest indoor option for a traveler who wants scheduled gym play and loaner paddles without joining a private club.
